87 Day Waiting Period Calculator

Use this tool to estimate when a dog that earned points with one club may be listed for a regular or multibreed class with a different club. Enter the end date of the last tournament where the dog earned Regular or Multibreed points with its previous club.

The 87-day period starts the day after that tournament ends. The calculator uses its end date to estimate the first date after the waiting period when the dog may be listed in a regular or multibreed class for a different club.

Any dog listed in violation of this rule will cause the forfeiture of all NAFA® points earned during the tournament for all dogs on the time sheet.
The team with the dog violating this rule will also forfeit any tournament placement.
The 87-day rule does not apply to the Veterans or Open classes.
A dog running in the Veterans or Open class shall retain its existing club affiliation.
Performance Teams may include dogs that otherwise would be ineligible to compete because the dog earned points on another club’s team within the preceding 87 days, subject to the conditions and requirements described in the NAFA Rulebook.
